Through fund management activities, DVB has been able to expand its traditional product range of senior and junior financing to clients. Today, DVB can arrange each risk layer, including the equity aspect, in the financing of shipping projects.
DVB's NFC Shipping Funds, focus on investments in high yielding loans/bonds, mezzanine financings and equity participations in shipping projects. The NFC Shipping Funds focus on (preferred) asset-based equity investments in the shipping sectors. The asset-based approach of NFC, in combination with an in-depth knowledge of the shipping business and market coverage via the DVB network, provides a unique opportunity to invest in the shipping industry with partners that have a proven track record.
DVB’s Intermodal Unit Funds provide equity, preferred equity and mezzanine loans to intermodal clients. The first intermodal fund had been set up in the last quarter of 2006. The intermodal funds concentrate on investments in intermodal assets (containers, chassis and trailers).
In 2007, Buss Capital, a leading leading KG issuing house, and DVB have jointly set up a Cruise/Ferry fund.
