DVB's Shipping Division to introduce an innovative organisational structure as of 1st January 2008
As of 1st January 2008 DVB Bank's shipping division will introduce a new organisational structure, focusing on ten shipping sectors in total. The new global sector heads and their teams will be distributed throughout the existing DVB offices network. The ten sectors will operate in key areas where these sectors have active players.
Dagfinn Lunde, member of the Board of Managing Directors of DVB Bank AG, said: "We have always kept to our motto of diversification and innovation in ship finance, and we have continued to spread our risk across various shipping sectors and geographical regions. We have seen a need to have a more sector-specialist approach catering for our clients' specific needs. The new sector structure will provide a more focused industry approach with deeper expertise and a global view of each market sector. The new structure will benefit our clients, because they will always meet highly experienced sector experts, who know the relevant assets and understand the underlying market trends. The decision to move to such a model was also encouraged by the success of the three existing specialist groups, which we have introduced for the financing of container boxes (2003), cruise ships (2005), and FPSOs (2006). These three groups have been the test cases before we took the final decision to change the whole organisational structure into a sector-oriented one. DVB is the first bank to introduce this innovative organisational structure in the ship finance industry."

Crude Oil & LNG Tanker Group (CLG): Peter Illingworth
Chemical & LPG Tanker Group (CTG): Thomas Falck

Dry Bulk Group (DBG): Evan Cohen
Floating Production Group (FPG): Sven Dybdahl
Offshore Drilling Group (ODG): Sjur Agdestein
Offshore Support Group (OSG): Geir Sjurseth
Product Tanker Group (PTG): Sybren Hoekstra
