DVB establishes Land Transport research team
DVB Bank AG, the specialist transport finance house, has established a dedicated research team within its Land Transport division. The brief of the new Land Transport Research (LTR) unit is to pro-actively extend the depth of market know-how in the land transport sector - particularly rail transport - regarding DVB Bank's financing and structuring services in this market. LTR will also consolidate DVB's existing land transport research, and will closely support the Bank's European and North American land transport credit and commercial units.
Wouter Radstake has assumed the position of Head of Land Transport Research, with effect from 3 April 2006. Mr. Radstake joins DVB from the Netherlands Competition Authority (NMa) - Office of Transport Regulation, where he worked as a Senior Economist, Railways. Having graduated from Twente University, he sought to develop his career in the rail transport sector, gaining extensive expertise as a consultant - focusing on the launch and operation of start-ups in particular. He subsequently worked for railway companies ShortlLines B.V. and ERS Railways B.V. Ms. Ruth Hasslinger will work alongside Mr. Radstake and the LTR team.
Martin Metz, Global Head of DVB's Land Transport Division, said that he was "delighted that a renowned rail transport expert like Wouter Radstake had decided to join DVB. This will further improve the Bank's skills in assessing market developments, to assist our clients even more efficiently in their rolling stock investments."
